Job Description

Full Stack Engineer, Observability

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Full Stack Engineer, Observability in United States for LaunchDarkly.

This role focuses on building and scaling enterprise-grade observability capabilities that power critical infrastructure for modern software delivery teams. You will contribute to the evolution of a rapidly growing observability product, working on both frontend and backend systems that enable dashboards, alerts, integrations, and infrastructure-as-code workflows. The position sits at the intersection of product engineering and platform reliability, with a strong emphasis on enterprise adoption needs such as compliance, auditability, and scalability. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and customers to translate complex requirements into robust, production-ready features. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deeply technical, with strong ownership over end-to-end feature delivery. Your work will directly influence how enterprise customers operate, monitor, and automate their observability workflows at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and build full-stack features that enhance enterprise observability capabilities, including dashboards, alerts, and configuration management.
  • Own end-to-end development of integrations and platform capabilities across frontend, backend, APIs, and data services.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code support for observability resources, enabling versioning, rollback, and GitOps-style workflows.
  • Build and maintain integrations with external systems such as Jira, Linear, PagerDuty, and observability tools for incident management and event routing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and solutions engineers, to define and deliver enterprise requirements.
  • Ensure system reliability and production readiness through testing, observability, and participation in on-call rotations.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, emphasizing scalability, maintainability, and extensibility across services.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production full-stack applications.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/React on the frontend and Go (or similar backend languages).
  • Experience building APIs, integrations, or data pipelines that connect distributed systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar frameworks.
  • Understanding of enterprise software requirements including RBAC, compliance, auditability, and GitOps workflows.
  • Strong system design skills and ability to make scalable, maintainable engineering trade-offs.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working cross-functionally or with technical stakeholders.
  • Bonus: familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) or feature flagging platforms.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base compensation ranging from $145,500 to $235,400 USD depending on location and experience.
  • Equity compensation through Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental health coverage.
  • Remote-first work environment across the United States.
  • Flexible work culture built on trust, autonomy, and collaboration.
  • Opportunities to work on high-impact enterprise observability systems at scale.
  • Strong focus on engineering growth, innovation, and continuous learning.
