Opportunities available in the heart of Dallas

We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant with a passion for service excellence to join our Pediatric team in the Dallas area. The Pediatric MA would support pediatric providers in delivering quality healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents. This role is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing administrative and clinical duties, preparing patients for examinations, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a welcoming and child-friendly environment for patients and families.

Location: Mesquite, TX (4550 Gus Thomasson Rd, Ste. 40, Mesquite, TX 75150)

Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:

  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
  • Assistphysicians, nurse practitioners, and other providers during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Administer injections, medications, vaccines, and perform basic laboratory procedures as directed andpermittedby state regulations.
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, andassistwith follow-up care instructions.
  • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and equipment while ensuring cleanliness and infectioncontrol standards.
  • Support chronic disease management initiatives and preventive health screenings for patients of all ages.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures.

What you need to succeed

To be a productive member of our team, you will have a pleasant and professional demeanor, be a self-starter, the ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and the ability to preserve confidentiality. You will also have the following:

  • Previous experience in family medicine, primary care, or outpatient clinic settings preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification is a plus
  • Excellent patient engagement and communication skills
  • Knowledge of computers and data entry witha high levelof accuracy
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Burmese, Pashto, Rohingya is a plus
  • eClinicalWorks (EMR) experience preferred
  • BLS/CPR Certification up to date
