This role focuses on strengthening counter-terrorist financing capabilities across Andean Latin America through high-impact training and expert advisory support.
The position plays a critical part in helping government institutions investigate, prosecute, and adjudicate terrorism-related financial crimes.
You will work directly with officials, investigators, prosecutors, and judges to dismantle terrorist financing networks and their links to organized crime.
The role requires designing tailored training programs adapted to diverse legal and operational environments across multiple countries.
It involves significant international travel and close collaboration with program leadership and regional stakeholders.
You will contribute to capacity building efforts that enhance long-term institutional resilience and operational effectiveness in the region.
- Provide expert advisory support in terrorist financing, contributing to training programs and broader capability-building initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Design, develop, and adapt training curricula aligned with local contexts and international best practices in counter-terrorist financing.
- Deliver in-person training sessions to government officials, investigators, prosecutors, and judges across Andean Latin America.
- Produce timely training reports and contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and continuous program improvement.
- Mentor local trainers and justice sector professionals to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer and capacity development.
- Support program management discussions by providing subject-matter expertise and operational insights.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in terrorist financing, counter-terrorism finance, or related investigative fields.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs and developing structured curricula.
- Strong understanding of U.S. best practices in counter-terrorist financing, investigative techniques, and intelligence processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to engage senior government stakeholders.
- Physical and medical fitness to undertake frequent international field travel.
- Fluency in English is required; working knowledge of Spanish is highly advantageous.
- Desired: FATF-related experience, fluency in Spanish, and prior work on international development or foreign assistance projects, particularly in Latin America or the Caribbean.
