You possess excellent written and oral communication skills. You have the ability to scrutinize and compare documents according to established procedures. You are a problem solver with good decision-making and analytical skills. Your strong customer service skills enable you to prioritize job responsibilities, make judgments with a minimum of supervision and effectively listen and respond to telephone calls from physicians. You possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work professionally and productively. What will you do?

  • Process Medical and Graduate Medical Education (GME) documents received electronically or through mail
  • Communicate with medical professionals and/or external organizations including but not limited to registrars, medical and graduate medical education programs, third party medical professional staffing agencies
  • Perform follow-up duties for credentialing verification information
  • Process payments (check or credit card) for verification requests sent to institutions
  • Order and validate exam information based on state board requirements required for FCVS applications from appropriate organizations i.e. National Board Medical Education (NBME), National Board Osteopathic Medical Education (NBOME), License Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and other state or medical board exam repositories
  • Use ECFMG EMED software for International Medical Graduate verification requests
  • Maintain Institution Medical Codes i.e. Pre-Med, Medical and GME Tables as needed
  • Process electronic transcripts and physician assistant specific documents
  • Process payments and requests for verifications from the Closed Program repository
  • Manage and resolve Proactive reporting email requests between FCVS and the reporting institution through the appropriate system/process (DocuSign, Entity Connect, Proactive Reporting, Perceptive workflow)
  • Provide internal/external customer service according to established guidelines

What can you bring to the role?

  • Associate’s degree or 3-4 years related work experience
  • 3-4 years of office experience including 2+ years credentialing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Customer service skills, preferably in health care or professional association setting
  • Typing/data entry skills of 45-50 wpm
  • Working knowledge of Windows environment, preferably with Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of FCVS workflow process and documentation requirements preferred
