Description:

The Regional Technical Manager is responsible for strengthening and scaling technical service capability across the region. This role focuses on improving diagnostic quality, reducing repeat failures, and developing technician expertise to ensure consistent, high-quality service outcomes across all locations. The RTM serves as a senior technical resource and escalation point, while driving long-term capability through coaching, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Objectives: Improve the consistency, reliability, and overall stability of service outcomes across all locations, while shifting the organization from reactive issue resolution to proactive capability building through stronger technical expertise, early issue identification, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Duties

  • Serve as a second- and third-level escalation resource for complex or high-risk technical issues, supporting LSM in diagnostics and intervening directly.
  • Reduce repeat escalations by providing coaching, knowledge transfer, and strengthening local technical problem-solving capability.
  • Standardize diagnostic processes and troubleshooting methodologies across all locations to drive consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify patterns and root causes of recurring failures, translating field issues into training, process improvements, and preventive solutions.
  • Promote cross-location knowledge sharing to improve overall technical performance and consistency.
  • Lead technician capability development and partner with LSMs to identify and grow potential talent.
  • Develop advanced technical skillsets in areas such as automation, electrical systems, and system integration.
  • Elevate expectations for senior technicians to drive proactive problem-solving and technical leadership.
  • Identify systemic issues related to installation or operational practices that impact service.
  • Identify and communicate recurring risks and trends to the Director of Dealerships, providing proactive recommendations and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Operations Management, Engineering, related field, or relevant experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in field service, installation, maintenance, or complex system diagnostics.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving advanced electrical, mechanical, automation, or integrated system issues.
  • Experience identifying root causes, recurring failures, and systemic issues in a multi-site or regional support environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, or develop technicians.
  • Background in service, installation, or industrial/technical environments such as HVAC, automation, electrical systems, or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Experience working in structured service environments with escalation processes and performance standards.
