Position Description:

About Us

Roth Southeast, a Thermal Concepts company, is a leader in Building Automation Systems, Energy Management Systems, and HVAC Controls. We provide professional service and installation for new construction, retrofits, and maintenance projects.

What You'll Do

  1. Calibrate sensors and fine-tune control loops to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
  2. Program, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS).
  3. Perform system backups, database maintenance, software updates, and related system support.
  4. Diagnose and resolve issues involving HVAC controls, building automation systems, and connected devices.
  5. Replace, configure, and reprogram sensors, controllers, and other control components as needed.
  6. Install, wire, configure, and integrate new control equipment and communication devices.
  7. Troubleshoot and repair control wiring, communication networks, and system connectivity issues.
  8. Assist with system upgrades, expansions, startups, testing, and commissioning activities.
  9. Maintain accurate service documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, and field service reports.
  10. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication, responsive service, and high-quality workmanship.


Position Requirements:

What we are looking for

  1. Hands-on experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems.
  2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, low-voltage wiring, and IP-based networks.
  3. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and diagnostic testing equipment.
  4. Familiarity with BAS platforms such as Schneider, Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Trane.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  6. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  7. Self-motivated and able to prioritize responsibilities while managing multiple projects and service calls.
  8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  9. Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  10. Comfortable working in field environments, including rooftops, ladders, mechanical rooms, and other jobsite conditions.
  11. Willingness to travel as needed to support customer sites and service requirements.
  12. Technical degree, trade school certification, or equivalent hands-on industry training preferred.
