Job Description
Ship and receive finished and in-process parts and handle all necessary documentation. Maintain customer and vendor contact and schedule all pick-ups and deliveries. Maintain parts and packaging material inventories in shipping department and perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:

- Ship parts per the SOR. Make unscheduled shipments per verbal and written instructions directly from internal sources.
- Provide packing lists, shipping manifests, UPS logs, or other evidence of shipments, daily to data entry.
- Prepare and affix the required identification to the packages. Gather and include all of the documents required to accompany each shipment of parts to customers and to suppliers of contract services.
- Accumulate WIP parts for outside processes. Monitor WIP quantities and generate POs with due dates for outside processes at predetermined quantities, completed WO quantities, and/or per instructions. Schedule deliveries to and pick-ups from suppliers. Expedite as necessary. Provide copies of the POs to Accounts Payable.
- Count and inventory all FG parts using the FIFO Method. Apply preservatives and package per ST’s and customers’ instructions. Make progress entries in computer. Mark containers appropriately.
- Count and record parts back from suppliers and customer returned goods. Make the appropriate data entry, and complete and distribute paper documentation.
- Maintain packaging materials inventory levels. File certifications and other pertinent documents. Write periodic WIP and FG inventories.
- When necessary, use company vehicle to deliver parts to either customers and/or outside processing vendors.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Follow the safe practices and housekeeping instructions. Observe ergonomic principles, safe lifting and material handling guidelines.
- Know and understand the relevant sections of ST’s ISO Quality Management System and how they apply to this job.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Two years’ experience with responsibilities in shipping and receiving, UPS, LTL shipping, and inventory control. Detail oriented person with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to reach above shoulder and to crouch/bend down to floor level. Lift up to 50 pounds. Push/pull carts weighing up to 350 pounds and be on feet for 8 hours a day.
- Computer literate, telephone, e-mail and calculators.
- Able to retrieve, assemble and prepare documents requested by the customers to be shipped with the product.
- Familiarity with UPS and other freight carrier shipments.
- Follow the safe practices and housekeeping instructions. Observe ergonomic principles, safe lifting and material handling guidelines.
- Read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Math competency – 8th grade or greater.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
