About Merlin Group

Merlin Group operates at the intersection of cyber innovation, national security, and technology-driven transformation. With a mission to accelerate the adoption of high-impact technologies across the U.S. public sector and regulated commercial markets, Merlin is uniquely structured around three core tenets – Invest, Enable, and Scale – each designed to address a specific stage of the technology lifecycle. Together, our affiliates – Merlin Ventures, CGC, and Merlin Cyber – form a flywheel that builds enduring capability for customers, partners, and the broader cyber ecosystem, operationalizing technological advancement into mission-ready, enterprise-grade solutions.

At Merlin, we believe our strength lies in our people. Team members are encouraged to be creative, collaborative, and nimble, pursuing paths to deliver the cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that our customers rely on. From next-generation cyber defense to secure cloud and AI, we are united by one purpose – transforming innovation into mission impact.

The Opportunity

The Field Marketing Manager owns the planning, coordination, execution, and measurement of field marketing programs that support pipeline creation, customer engagement, and regional business priorities. This role manages cross-functional processes and programs rather than direct reports and reports to the Director of Field Marketing.

This is an individual-contributor role with ownership of processes, programs, and cross-functional execution, rather than direct people management. The Manager is expected to create structure, drive accountability, coordinate stakeholders, and continuously improve the operating model within the assigned marketing workstream.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translate regional and business priorities into integrated field marketing plans, calendars, and program briefs.
  • Own the end-to-end operational process for field events, executive programs, customer experiences, partner activities, and other regional campaigns.
  • Coordinate timelines, dependencies, budgets, vendors, agencies, venues, creative assets, logistics, and internal approvals.
  • Partner with Sales, SDR/BDR, Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to align programs to pipeline and revenue objectives.
  • Develop clear program requirements, project plans, RACI/ownership models, and communication cadences to keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Manage lead capture, routing, follow-up, campaign attribution, and post-event processes in partnership with Marketing Operations and Sales.
  • Track program performance, including attendance, engagement, sourced/influenced pipeline, conversion, cost efficiency, and other agreed KPIs.
  • Maintain a field marketing calendar and ensure program status, risks, decisions, and next steps are visible to stakeholders.
  • Manage external vendors and partners through defined scopes, timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Identify process improvements that increase program quality, scalability, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Capture lessons learned and build reusable playbooks, templates, and best practices for future programs.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to the Director of Field Marketing.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B marketing, field marketing, events, integrated marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales and other cross-functional teams in a pipeline-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, vendor-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Comfort working with budgets, timelines, performance metrics, and operational details.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business objectives into structured plans and executable programs.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms and familiarity with campaign tracking and attribution concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent practical experience preferred.

What Success Looks Like

  • Field programs are delivered on time, within budget, and against agreed objectives.
  • Sales and marketing stakeholders have clear visibility into program plans, ownership, timelines, and follow up.
  • Programs generate measurable engagement and pipeline impact with reliable reporting.
  • Processes, playbooks, and templates become increasingly scalable and repeatable.
  • Program performance and operational insights consistently inform future investment decisions.

Benefits & Perks

We want to empower and inspire employees to be and do their best. Our workdays are dynamic, collegial, and fun. Our office features multiple places to work unconstrained by typical office barriers. Our wellness package provides access to an on-site gym and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance along with options for FSA and EAP. We offer 401(k) with employer match, unlimited PTO, and a culture respectful of the reality that not everything in one’s personal life is guaranteed to happen only after hours.
