Junior AI Engineer - Internship in at BAO Systems

We are looking for a Junior AI Engineer to assist in developing and integrating AI-powered solutions into our products. You will work with Senior Engineers and Data Scientists to prototype, train, test, and deploy machine learning models, and help build generative AI-powered features and applications.

Responsibilities:

• Support data profiling, preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis tasks
• Assist in building, training and testing machine learning models
• Help integrate AI models into production systems via APIs and pipelines
• Research and experiment with new AI tools, frameworks, and techniques
• Document processes, findings and model performance for the team

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of Python and common ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch)
• Experience working using REST APIs and SDKs (Boto3, OpenAI)
• Experience with Git for version control
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with databases (SQL) and foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and statistics
• Interest in AI/ML concepts such as supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, Generative AI, or Computer Vision concepts
• Experience with containerization (Docker) or orchestration (Kubernetes) a plus
• Understanding of model evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, etc.).
• Experience with Prompt Engineering and an understanding of emerging Agentic AI frameworks a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to explore new technologies
