About the Role:
The Line Cook - AM plays a critical role in the kitchen by preparing and cooking breakfast and early lunch menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position ensures that all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining consistency and adhering to established recipes and safety guidelines. The Line Cook collaborates closely with kitchen staff and management to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. This role requires the ability to work under pressure during busy morning hours while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude. Ultimately, the Line Cook contributes to delivering an exceptional dining experience that meets customer expectations and supports the overall success of the establishment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and maintain stamina during busy periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school training or certification.
- Experience working with breakfast and brunch menus.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-volume kitchen.
- Food Handler’s Certification or ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and early lunch menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils.
- Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management to avoid shortages.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety.
