SIGN-ON BONUS: 1,000.00 (Complete first 90 days 500.00; complete 12 monts 500.00)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for working within a team in the Shipping/Receiving area, performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packing, shipping and receiving of various materials and finished goods.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick and Assemble orders from stock or production areas as directed by packing list; weigh and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Receive raw materials and other items from vendors. Inspect, verify, and place materials in proper location as directed. Assist in maintaining finished goods inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping in the shipping area and discard waste in the proper containers and keep work area clean of debris and trash.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Inspect all assigned equipment and report and defects to the appropriate supervisor.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

III. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Able to operate plant equipment including forklifts and hoists.
• Excell attention to details.
• Read, write, and speak English.

IV. POST-HIRE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Environmental and safety training applicable to the job and equipment.
• Job instructional training.
• Quality system (ISO 9001) familiarization.
• ISO 14001 familiarization, which includes understanding significant environmental aspects and knowing EMS program objectives and targets.
• OHSAS 45001 familiarization, which includes understanding hazards and risks.
  
  

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to utilize objects, tools, or controls as well as reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. A team lift is required when lifting items more than 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
