The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining data solutions that support operational intelligence, automation, and AI initiatives. The role requires strong technical expertise in data processing, analysis, and integration, combined with the ability to collaborate with different teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
- Develop data models and analytical solutions to support capacity planning, observability, and artificial intelligence initiatives.
- Implement trend projections using historical time-series analysis and regression models to estimate resource saturation scenarios.
- Collect, process, consolidate, and prepare operational metrics for consumption through dashboards and analytical platforms.
- Correlate performance data with criticality, services, and environment information to support prioritization and decision-making.
- Automate rightsizing analysis processes by identifying over-provisioned and under-provisioned resources based on historical usage patterns.
- Structure RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and PIR (Post Incident Review) information in JSON format for indexing and AI agent consumption.
- Integrate and process data from APIs and external systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Provide treated and structured data for BI analysts and AI-based platforms.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and traceability across all solutions developed.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering, analytics, and data processing, with the ability to transform complex information into strategic assets. This professional should be comfortable working with automation, integrations, and analytical solutions in dynamic technology environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Python for data analysis and data processing.
- Experience with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, regression libraries, and statistical analysis tools.
- Strong SQL skills and experience manipulating, consolidating, and preparing data for analytical consumption.
- Experience consuming and integrating data through APIs from monitoring and configuration management platforms.
- Knowledge of Capacity Planning concepts, including utilization, saturation, and rightsizing.
- Experience developing solutions for data preparation, processing, and availability.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of information and identify patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and focus on data quality and reliability.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience working with virtualized environments such as Hyper-V, Proxmox, or cloud platforms like AWS.
- Knowledge of JSON Schema structures for AI agent data consumption.
- Experience building data pipelines using ETL/ELT processes.
