As a Higher Education Expert, you will contribute specialized institutional knowledge to the development of advanced educational scenarios and assessment materials.
You will draw on real-world experience in academic administration, faculty leadership, student affairs, research administration, or institutional strategy.
The role involves translating complex higher education practices into realistic scenarios covering curriculum, governance, accreditation, enrollment, and budgeting.
You will also develop tasks and evaluation frameworks designed to distinguish authentic professional judgment from generic academic knowledge.
Your expertise will help shape practical content that reflects the complexity of decision-making within higher education institutions.
Working remotely on a contract basis, you will have the opportunity to apply your institutional expertise to innovative projects at the intersection of education and AI.
This role is particularly well suited to experienced higher education professionals who enjoy designing, evaluating, and communicating complex academic and institutional concepts.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop realistic higher education scenarios related to curriculum and academic program design, faculty senate or accreditation reviews, budget planning, and enrollment strategy.
  • Create education-focused tasks covering academic program development, student affairs, research administration, faculty governance, and institutional advancement.
  • Design scenarios that reflect real-world institutional processes, priorities, constraints, and decision-making.
  • Incorporate higher education technology and platforms such as Banner, Workday Student, Canvas, Blackboard, CRM systems, Cayuse, and InfoEd where relevant.
  • Apply established higher education frameworks and institutional practices to produce realistic academic plans, accreditation materials, strategic documents, and communications.
  • Develop content that accurately reflects the responsibilities and perspectives of academic leaders, administrators, faculty, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Create rubrics and evaluation criteria capable of distinguishing authentic higher education judgment from generic academic knowledge or recall.
  • Leverage practical experience with institutional budgets, accreditation requirements, governance structures, enrollment planning, and academic operations.
  • Review and refine scenarios and evaluation materials to ensure they are accurate, relevant, realistic, and representative of higher education environments.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as faculty, an academic administrator, or in a senior operational role within higher education.
  • Direct ownership or significant responsibility for academic programs, enrollment initiatives, institutional strategies, or other major higher education priorities.
  • Strong understanding of higher education operations, frameworks, governance, accreditation, budgeting, and institutional decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex institutional knowledge into clear, structured, and practical scenarios or educational content.
  • Familiarity with higher education technology platforms, including student information systems, learning management systems, CRM platforms, and research administration tools.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate nuanced institutional situations and identify appropriate professional responses.
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce clear academic, administrative, and strategic materials.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables effectively in a remote contract environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when developing institutional scenarios and assessment materials.
  • Experience creating rubrics, curriculum materials, faculty training content, or similar educational resources is preferred.
  • Experience evaluating professional judgment and designing competency-based assessment materials is an asset.
Benefits:
  • Competitive contract compensation of $60–$70 USD per hour.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Flexible contract-based opportunity that allows you to apply your higher education expertise to innovative AI-related projects.
  • Opportunity to contribute real-world institutional knowledge to the development of advanced AI training and evaluation materials.
  • Work at the intersection of higher education, technology, and artificial intelligence.
  • Opportunity to apply your professional experience across a diverse range of academic and institutional scenarios.
  • Remote collaboration with teams working on innovative talent and AI initiatives.
  • Streamlined application process designed to assess your experience and expertise through an AI-based interview.
