Position Title: Dishwasher - Brecksville

Department: Culinary

Reports to: Executive Chef

Position Description

Performs a variety of tasks to assure that all sliver, plate ware, pots, pans and cooking utensils for the preparation and service of meals for the residents are cleaned properly and put away.

Essential Functions

• Follow oral and written directions.
• Sort dirty silver, dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils to be washed.
• Wash, scrub, and sanitize items using the industrial dishwasher or by hand when necessary
• Organize clean items for storage or for use
• Assisting in proper care and use of kitchen equipment
• Sweep and mop floors, empty trash, clean sinks, countertops and garbage cans to ensure hygiene standards.
• Complete dishwashing tasks in a timely manner, so items will be available for the next meal service.
• Provide Kitchen support by assisting with minor food preparation, restocking supplies, cleaning appliances, and maintaining workstations.
• Provide Serving Pantry/Dining Room support by assisting with busing tables and cleaning serving pantries following meals when needed
• Attend in-service training programs for Food Service/Culinary staff
• Work with other Hospitality areas, such as Housekeeping or Laundry when called upon to do so.
• Observe infection control procedures related to the Culinary/Dining Service Department
• Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all time
• Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
• Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner
• Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook
• Relate to residents, families, and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner
• Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
