Position SummaryEnzo is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vendor Management Associate to join our Purchasing team. This entry-level procurement role offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in supply chain management, purchasing, and vendor relations.
The successful candidate will support the full purchase order lifecycle, maintain vendor communications, assist with materials planning, and ensure timely procurement of goods and services. This role requires strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
CompensationHourly Pay Range : $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
- Create, process, and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
- Verify pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and terms before issuing purchase orders.
- Monitor and track purchase orders from creation through receipt.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to orders, pricing, or deliveries.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor communications regarding open orders.
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, shipping schedules, and delayed deliveries.
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with vendors.
- Ensure vendor documentation and records remain accurate and up to date.
- Assist with materials planning and purchasing activities based on inventory levels and production requirements.
- Generate purchase orders to support operational and manufacturing needs.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement requirements are met efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing and vendor management processes.
- Manage and monitor the Purchasing department inbox.
- Maintain order confirmation files and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams to confirm deliveries against purchase orders.
- Provide administrative support for additional purchasing and procurement activities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, vendor management, supply chain, logistics, or a related administrative function.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Exposure to manufacturing, life sciences, biotechnology, or laboratory environments.
- A customer-service mindset when working with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Strong follow-through and accountability.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
