Job Description
River Run is a shared services organization that supports banking affiliates, Newburyport Bank, Pentucket Bank and Rollstone Bank & Trust.
The Treasury Services Portfolio Manager drives River Run Banks' treasury management sales and business development efforts. This client-facing role supports treasury management, commercial deposit products, and related services while partnering with teams across the organization, including Treasury, Business and Retail Banking, Commercial Lending, Marketing, Operations, and Digital Banking. Key responsibilities include developing proposals and pricing strategies, supporting sales initiatives, managing client relationships and risk assessments, responding to RFPs, overseeing complex implementations and treasury projects, administering sales performance programs, delivering training, and supporting management reporting. This position includes supervisory responsibilities.
This role features a hybrid work model that blends in-office collaboration three days a week with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.
Essential Job Requirements
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Bank’s domestic and international treasury management products, providing consultative support to Treasury and Business Relationship Managers, Commercial Lenders, Business Banking Officers, and Retail teams.
- Develop treasury management proposals, pricing recommendations, presentation materials, and marketing collateral, including sales sheets, product guides, white papers, and educational campaigns.
- Administer the division’s sales performance program, tracking sales metrics, non-interest income growth, and deposit generation goals.
- Oversee client onboarding, implementation, maintenance, and support of treasury management products and services, including product installations, training, and technical issue resolution and review and prepare client enrollment agreements, approval documentation, billing reports, and treasury management performance reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage treasury management risk assessments, including ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, and Wire Transfer limits, while coordinating client communications and supporting regulatory compliance.
- Participate in treasury and deposit product development, enhancements, process improvements, integrations, conversions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Operations on treasury management contracts, implementation procedures, and complex customer issue resolution while delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Verify transactions and account balances as needed and ensure compliance with Bank policies, federal and state regulations, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Maintain current knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications, Experience, and Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred.
- 7+ years of treasury management sales experience with strong knowledge of commercial deposit products and treasury management best practices related to risk mitigation, liquidity management, and process improvement.
- 7+ years supporting Government Banking and Commercial & Industrial clients in a management or support capacity.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in treasury services, retail banking, operations, or a related financial services environment preferred; treasury management product or project management preferred.
- Experience with Treasury Management sales performance systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, Microsoft Office Suite and core banking systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and public speaking skills, with strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities and the ability to analyze complex documents.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to build relationships with clients, employees, and vendors, manage multiple priorities, learn new systems, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
