Job Description
The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the democratically elected National Government of the Red River Métis, also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are a distinct Indigenous Nation and People, and Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.
Rapid City Memorials (RCM) is a locally operated provider of memorial products and services, dedicated to helping families honour and remember their loved ones. We specialize in the design, production, and installation of custom memorials, including monuments, markers, bases, vases, inscriptions and more. RCM is a proud affiliate of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF).
RCM seeks to fill one full-time Sales and Design Representative position located at 40-1st Ave NW in Dauphin, MB. The Sales and Design Representative will be responsible for all sales and design duties, while ensuring the provision of compassionate support to clients in times of hardship.
Job Duties/Competencies:
- Act as the first point of contact for customers coming into the office;
- Assist customers in the process of selecting a memorial stone;
- Complete sales contracts, create work orders, fill out municipal applications and foundation orders;
- Create proof renderings for customers using Adobe Photoshop and Monumental design;
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers;
- Respond to general customer inquiries including answering phone calls and responding to emails;
- Operate a point of sales terminal, collect payments, and write receipts;
- Administer and maintain an accurate filing system.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field;
- Experience working within headstone or memorial services is an asset;
- Experience working in a sales position is an asset;
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and CAD programs is an asset;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check is required;
- Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, and MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
