Senior Manual QA Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer based in Spain.

As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of large-scale web-based products serving international markets. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced technology environment, you will contribute throughout the entire software testing lifecycle, from requirements analysis to release validation. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders while helping deliver high-quality user experiences. Accountabilities
  • Analyze business and technical requirements, actively participating in task discussions and refinement sessions to ensure testability and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain testing documentation, including test cases, checklists, and functional specifications.
  • Perform functional, regression, acceptance, and end-to-end testing across web-based applications and services.
  • Support deployment activities by validating releases in testing and production environments.
  • Monitor test execution results, investigate defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and communicate testing outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in troubleshooting production issues and analyzing complex system behaviors.
  • Manage and track features, defects, and quality activities throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer with a strong focus on manual testing.
  • Proven experience testing APIs and validating backend integrations.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, including client-server architecture, HTML, and CSS.
  • Hands-on experience testing complex web applications and websites.
  • Strong knowledge of test design techniques and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test cases and checklists.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitLab version control workflows.
  • Practical experience using browser developer tools for debugging and analysis.
  • Knowledge of database testing and querying, including MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Grafana, Sentry, Lens, RabbitMQ, or the iGaming industry is a plus.
