This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Accounting Manager based in United States.

The Regional Accounting Manager will oversee the finance and accounting activities of multiple clinical research site locations.
This role supports approximately 5–10 sites while helping ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with US GAAP.
Working closely with corporate finance and site operations, you will provide financial insight that supports revenue performance and business decisions.
You will manage monthly close and reporting, budgeting, cash management, accounts payable oversight, and financial analysis.
The position operates within a collaborative, matrixed environment with centralized accounting support and no direct reports.
You will also contribute to the integration of newly acquired and de novo sites as the organization continues to expand.
This is an opportunity to play a key financial leadership role within a fast-paced clinical research environment while partnering with operational teams across multiple locations.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage the monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes for assigned clinical research sites.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reporting packages for executive management.
  • Partner closely with site and regional operations teams to understand and influence revenue drivers and financial performance.
  • Perform detailed budget-to-actual and forecast-to-actual analysis, including revenue analysis by clinical study.
  • Provide day-to-day accounting guidance and financial support to site directors and operational leadership.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with site directors and operational teams.
  • Conduct financial analysis and develop insights to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Manage accounting activities for assigned sites within NetSuite using accrual accounting principles and US GAAP, including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliations between accounts receivable sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies for assigned sites.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and collections activities led by centralized billing and collections teams, participating in resolution efforts when needed.
  • Oversee accounts payable activities, including coordination of the annual 1099 process.
  • Monitor and oversee accounting processes performed centrally on behalf of assigned sites.
  • Manage cash activities through online banking platforms, including the transfer of excess funds as appropriate.
  • Support the onboarding and financial integration of newly acquired and newly established sites.
  • Provide financial information and documentation to support audits, tax activities, and other business requirements.
  • Contribute to employee training and development and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in additional financial and operational projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience managing financial activities across multiple business units, entities, or locations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial analysis, budgeting, and full-cycle accounting.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing the complete accounting cycle for a business unit or similar operation.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and reporting tools.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze financial results, identify trends and discrepancies, and translate findings into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting and financial concepts clearly and concisely to non-finance professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt effectively to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong team-oriented approach and ability to build productive relationships with finance and operations stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.

Benefits:

  • Remote position within the United States.
  • Base salary range of $105,000–$115,000 USD.
  • Full-time opportunity with regular working hours.
  • Opportunity to oversee financial operations across multiple clinical research locations.
  • Close partnership with corporate finance, site leadership, and operational teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the financial integration of newly acquired and newly established sites.
  • Exposure to a growing clinical research environment with opportunities to support expansion and process improvements.
  • Role provides broad responsibility across financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
