Our Infrastructure Consulting team provides reliable advice on complex social, civil, and energy projects around the world, supporting financial institutions and project companies at every stage of project delivery. We perform comprehensive due diligence during the bidding phase and provide ongoing technical supervision throughout construction, including monitoring progress, budgets, schedules, and project risks. As independent certifiers and engineers, we offer objective third-party supervision for key milestone verification, compliance, dispute resolution, and project success.
What You Will Learn and Do
- In consultation with the members of the design team, plan and oversee the implementation of the inspection Plan during Construction.
- Liaise with the relevant Building Control Authority as and when necessary.
- Attend and partake in multidisciplinary Project kick-off meetings.
- Prepare project specific Preliminary Inspection Plans and inspection Plans as implemented.
- Conduct & complete site inspections and reports including photographs in support of construction Period services.
- Carryout inspections and maintain records of same utilizing our bespoke site inspection and document management software.
- Attend site and design team meetings as and when necessary.
- Become familiar with BTY QA/QC practices and ensure appropriate processes are followed with respect to issuing reports.
- Clear understanding of snagging/de-snagging processes.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Built Environment carrying out inspections related to and being involved in the BCAR process and other related experience
- Experience in Building Services (M&E) is an asset
- University Degree or equivalent to any of the following: Construction Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture
- Professional Accreditation or Intent on developing accreditation in one of Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture, Registered Building Surveyor SCSI, RIAI (Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland), MRICS (Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
- Interest in developing an in-dept working knowledge of the building regulations, site inspections, construction detailing, building control process and project management.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Building Regulations and Building Control Regulations.
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative
- Holds a valid driver's license.
