Associate Audio Visual Project Engineer

Pay Range: $66,000 - $84,500/year

Position Summary

As a LINX Multimedia Associate Project Engineer, you own delegated project scope and smaller projects end-to-end, with mentorship from senior Project Engineers. You document design intent, solve routine technical problems, and produce drawing packages with growing independence as you build toward full project ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own delegated scope and small projects; begin planning across multiple deliverables and follow up without prompting
• Capture and document design intent for delegated scope; participate in design alignment meetings and begin owning intent on small projects
• Solve common design issues and pull in a Project Engineer for complex problems; identify and escalate issues on the assigned scope appropriately
• Produce AV shop drawings (floor plans, RCPs, elevations, one-line diagrams) with increasing independence; routine delegated work comes back clean from review
• Generate RFIs and Change Orders when projects require
• Maintain red lines and as-builts in Bluebeam Studio; maintain LINX standards for CAD and drafting documents
• Perform site walks and support customer meetings
• Collaborate with PMs, Production, Programming, Field, and Design Engineers

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of experience in professional audio/video integration, drafting, or a construction-related field
• AutoCAD proficiency; intermediate to advanced computer modeling skills
• Experience with Bluebeam and the ability to create markups
• Solid understanding of AV system signal flow and design
• Ability to create AV shop drawings, including floor plans, RCPs, elevations, and one-line diagrams
• Ability to read construction drawings
• Familiarity with the RFI process
• Able to manage multiple deliverables and set priorities to meet deadlines

Preferred

• AVIXA CTS (preferred)
• AVIXA CTS plus at least one manufacturer certification
• Experience installing commercial-grade AV systems
