NORESCO is seeking a Project Manager III to execute major project deliverables within the Building Codes and Standards team, specifically in the areas of building energy code education, outreach, and training. The position requires a minimum of six years of experience demonstrating increasing responsibility in managing individual tasks delivered on time, ability to champion outreach and engagement processes, provide clear and professional follow-through, possesses strong written and oral communication, and confidently coordinate a variety of staff and client materials specific to the building industry. Aptitude for and experience with project management and client management is preferred.

NORESCO leads a highly specialized team of employees and consultants in the development of building energy efficiency code compliance tools and training. This team uses the user-centered design process to develop performance-based solutions which increase compliance with local and national building energy codes. Increasing compliance is a critical component of realizing the energy savings and other benefits from building codes.

This individual will execute project tasks that are technical and detail-oriented; create and implement outreach strategies and processes; and manage and conduct market transformation activities for local jurisdictions. Tasks include activities such as providing in-person outreach and education to stakeholders on program offerings in a one-on-one and small group setting, collaborating with user groups on creating and implementing solutions, conversing with energy code users about their experience, developing technical energy and green code related workshop and webinar content, synthesizing and analyzing collected data and feedback, reading policies and plans to understand local objectives, and creating content for print and digital materials to educate user groups.

Candidate should have the following strengths:

The Project Manager III will have primary responsibility for executing technical content of deliverables with involvement from others, either within or separate from the organization; preparation of deliverables in required formats with support from others; and performing quality control activities to ensure technically correct work products. The selected candidate will work with the internal team to develop exceptional project management and client management skills, with the goal of being able to independently manage projects, perform technical work tasks and provide quality customer service to the client immediately. The position will also require the individual to coordinate and represent NORESCO in workshops and presentations related to client projects.

The candidate shall have some knowledge of building design and permit processes, energy-efficient technologies, the building industry, California building and energy codes.

As a member of NORESCO’s Codes and Standards team, you will have broad impact on state, local and national building energy codes.
