Create and build partnerships that connect more people with transit. As a Senior Sales Representative in the Utah Transit Authority’s Fares Department, you’ll connect with businesses, schools, community organizations, and others that can benefit from UTA’s pass programs. You’ll identify new partnership opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing partners, and work with organizations to understand their needs and find fare solutions that fit the communities they serve. This is a relationship-focused sales role, not a high-pressure or commission-based position. Success in this role comes from building trust, providing exceptional customer support, and developing lasting partnerships that benefit both our partners and the people they serve.
As the Senior Sales Representative, you will:
Function as lead sales resource to identify, prospect, and secure new pass partners in support of revenue goals.
Participate in pass program administration.
Provide support to our partners and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Assist with implementing technology initiatives and tools.
Coordinate implementation and integration of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
Partner with other Utah Transit Authority (UTA) departments to create and implement sales strategies that support revenue goals.
Assist in collecting revenue from pass program partners.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/LICENSES
Five (5) years previous work experience in marketing and/or sales, preferably in public service or services.
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
Must have a valid Utah driver license with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years. Cannot have more than 2 violations of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Proven experience in developing sales strategies, conducting cold calls, and making sales presentations.
Self-motivated individual who exhibits sense of urgency in all sales and account service related activity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain key relationships in the community.
Intermediate proficiency preferred in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Collaborative, confident, trustworthy, and outgoing team player.
Excellent time management skills and organization.
Establish and build relationships quickly with new partners and within current partner accounts.
Understand diverse information and make recommendations from data.
Identify and timely resolve problems.
This job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Pay Rate: $73300.00 or more, depending on experience
