This position is for the Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. The salary range for this part-time position will be prorated based on 60% effort as the position is 22.5 hours per week. This position is located at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Job Summary

Prepares accurate patient nutritional care and designs and implements diets to align with study protocols. Trains dietary data coordinators, collects and enters study data, analyzes nutritional records, and oversees the certification of all nutrition research assistants. Assists physicians and faculty with regulatory documents, study preparation, and grants and reports. Develops tailored materials and provides assistance with nutrition-related tasks.

Essential Functions

• Prepares patient nutritional care in accordance with diagnosis, research protocols, and all applicable regulations. Designs and implements diets to align with study protocols.

• Trains dietary data coordinators to customize a nutrient analysis database as directed; collects and enters study dietary data as directed. Oversees the certification of all nutrition research assistants.

• Acquires documents to conduct and complete study forms; collects and analyzes nutritional records.

• Assists physicians and other faculty with preparation of regulatory documents, planning, subject recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, study conduct, agendas, manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, grants, and reports.

• Collaborates with study staff to develop tailored materials and integrate the nutrition information with the other components of the study.

• Provides technical assistance to study staff on nutrition-related tasks.
