CCMC Dietary Services Aide- Part Time in Warrenton, Oregon at Clatsop Care Center Health District

POSITION PURPOSE: To assist in the preparation, serving and clean up of meals in an orderly, timely manner, using established procedures in response to requirements and as directed by Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Others may be assigned:

Make every effort in good faith to support the overall health and holistic well-being of residents.

Demonstrate desire and ability to work with residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Demonstrate basic knowledge of food service skills.

Practice good sanitation in handling food and equipment through knowledge and application of infection control techniques and standards.

Perform tasks with accuracy and in manner demonstrating care for equipment and environment.

Perform daily and scheduled cleaning duties.

Able to organize work to perform in efficient, timely manner.

Assist in cold food, dessert, and beverage preparation at direction of cook.

Buses dishes from neighborhoods following all meals.

Performs dishwashing and cleaning procedures on assigned shift.

Puts clean dishes away – returns and maintains dish and utensil supply in neighborhood kitchens.

Attend in-service meetings and continuing education to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.

Maintains confidentiality of residents and work environment.

Uses hand over hand technique, when appropriate, while assisting residents during meals.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess ability to learn and follow directions.

To perform tasks with accuracy and in compliance with infection control techniques and safety practices.

Capable and willing to learn new methods.

Supportive of Dietary program and capable of working as part of a team.
