Legal Counsel, In-House in Rota, Andalucía at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Counsel, In-House based in Spain.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on legal professional to support a fast-moving, international organization operating across multiple jurisdictions.
You will advise on employment law matters while helping internal teams navigate complex legal and regulatory requirements.
The role combines legal expertise with strong business partnership, requiring a practical and solution-oriented approach.
You will work closely with teams including Operations and Sales, contributing to growth initiatives and new business opportunities.
The position also involves collaboration with external counsel, payroll providers, and local partners across different countries.
As part of a distributed legal team, you will help maintain consistent, high-quality legal practices across an international environment.
This role offers meaningful exposure to cross-border employment matters within a collaborative and remote-first setting.

• Advise on and resolve a broad range of employment law matters across multiple countries.
• Provide legal guidance and practical support to internal teams when specialist legal expertise is required.
• Partner closely with business functions such as Operations and Sales to support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives.
• Help the organization expand into new markets and develop international business opportunities while managing legal considerations.
• Ensure business activities remain compliant with applicable local employment laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with external lawyers, payroll providers, and other local partners to address jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• Contribute to consistent, high-quality legal processes and solutions across different markets.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer admitted to the Spanish Bar, with a strong specialization in Spanish employment law.
• Approximately 2–4 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in a law firm, an in-house legal department, or ideally a combination of both.
• Native-level Spanish and fluent business and legal English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex legal matters into practical business solutions.
• Commercial mindset and ability to balance legal requirements with operational and customer-focused considerations.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of employment law in additional jurisdictions, such as Portugal, is an advantage.
• Familiarity with data protection and GDPR requirements is a plus.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial or sales contracts is desirable.
• Additional language skills, such as Portuguese, French, Italian, or German, are beneficial.
