Medical Assistant – Skilled Nursing Facility Rounds
Are you a Medical Assistant who thrives on variety and wants to make a real difference for patients in skilled nursing facilities? Our primary care office is looking for a dedicated MA to join our team supporting providers during facility rounds, managing patient records, and keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of clinical support and administrative work, with a semi-hybrid schedule that flexes around provider availability.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers during patient rounds at skilled nursing facilities
- Assist with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records including EHR documentation
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
- Manage incoming/outgoing calls, emails, and faxes
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
- Support patients and families with compassion and professionalism
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- CMA or RMA certification preferred
- Prior healthcare experience, ideally in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with EHR systems
- Adaptability and a team-first mindset
- Flexibility to adjust hours based on provider schedule
