Sr. Product Manager, Technical

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Product Manager, Technical in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a high-impact API ecosystem, where you will define and lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of critical APIs powering member, chapter, and agentic AI experiences. You will operate at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and security, translating complex integration needs into scalable, well-governed API solutions. The position requires strong technical depth and product leadership to ensure APIs are secure, observable, and easy to adopt across internal teams and external partners. You will also play a key role in enabling AI-driven capabilities through governed API contracts and structured data access. The environment is highly collaborative, globally oriented, and focused on building trusted, high-quality digital experiences. This is a hands-on technical product leadership role with significant influence on platform architecture and user experience.

Accountabilities

This role is responsible for defining, building, and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of API products that support member experiences, operational systems, and AI-driven capabilities. You will ensure APIs are scalable, secure, well-documented, and aligned with enterprise governance and product strategy.

  • Define and own the API vision, strategy, and roadmap across member, chapter, and agentic ecosystem domains
  • Translate complex business, member, and integration needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and API specifications
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design REST and GraphQL APIs, data models, authentication, and integration patterns
  • Manage the full API lifecycle including development, versioning, documentation, deprecation, and migration planning
  • Establish and enforce API governance standards, including security, observability, and developer experience best practices
  • Enable and support AI agent ecosystems by defining governed API contracts and safe data access boundaries
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, data, IT, and security teams to ensure scalable and compliant API design
  • Drive API adoption and developer experience through documentation, tooling, and self-service enablement
Requirements

This role requires strong technical product leadership experience, deep API expertise, and the ability to operate in complex, cross-functional environments involving engineering, data, and security stakeholders.

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, including 3+ years focused on API products or technical platforms
  • Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL API design, data modeling, and integration architecture
  • Experience with authentication/authorization frameworks (OAuth 2.0, Auth0, Okta) and security-first design
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical and business requirements into actionable product specifications
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with engineering teams on API development and developer experience initiatives
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) and modern CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience with API management tools such as AWS API Gateway or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand system architecture and data flows
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage engineering, product, and executive stakeholders
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and expertise
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement savings and financial wellbeing programs
  • Flexible work arrangements and remote-friendly environment
  • Paid time off and global work-life balance support
  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities
  • Exposure to cutting-edge API, cloud, and AI-driven technologies
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and globally oriented work culture
