Course description: Fundamentals of democracy, participation and representative government needed to understand and move beyond the framework in which they are embedded within Western societies.
Required experience and qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in philosophy, the humanities, or the social sciences, or equivalent experience
- Research on democratic theories and processes from a critical perspective, and an excellent understanding of their diversity
- Teaching experience
- Passive proficiency in the second official language
- Sensitivity to multiple differences (including abilities, genders, and cultures) and to students' concerns.
- Proficiency with both in-person and online learning tools
- Participate in three scheduled teaching meetings with members of the teaching team of the School of Social Innovation during the term
