Domestic Logistics Coordinator

📍 Fall River, MA
🕗 Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
🏢 Onsite Training (First 30 Days) | Hybrid Schedule After Training (Tuesdays & Thursdays onsite; Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays remote)

About the Role

Are you an experienced logistics professional who enjoys solving transportation challenges, working with freight carriers, and using data to improve operations? D2G Group is seeking a Domestic Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day domestic transportation activities while partnering with carriers, internal teams, and customers to ensure shipments move efficiently from origin to delivery.

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can think critically, prioritize multiple shipments, communicate effectively with carriers, and proactively resolve transportation issues before they impact the customer. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, as you'll regularly analyze freight data, maintain transportation reports, and identify opportunities to improve operational performance.

The ideal candidate has experience coordinating LTL, TL, and parcel shipments, managing freight claims, working within Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and building strong relationships with carriers. What You'll Do
  • Coordinate domestic LTL, TL, and parcel shipments from origin through delivery.

  • Communicate with freight carriers, third-party logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation delays, delivery exceptions, and service issues.

  • Process freight invoices and partner with third-party audit providers to ensure accurate carrier payments.

  • File, monitor, and resolve freight claims related to damages, shortages, or service failures.

  • Coordinate reverse logistics, customer returns, call tags, and carrier pickups.

  • Obtain freight quotes and evaluate carrier options based on cost, service, and transit times.

  • Analyze freight data and transportation reports using Microsoft Excel to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support operational improvements.

  • Create and maintain shipping documentation and transportation records.

  • Partner with Distribution Center, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to improve transportation performance, reduce freight claims, and enhance the customer experience.

  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers while ensuring a high level of customer service.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in domestic transportation, freight coordination, logistics, or supply chain operations.

  • Strong understanding of domestic freight operations, including:

    • LTL (Less-Than-Truckload)

    • TL (Truckload)

    • Parcel shipping

  • Experience coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and resolving transportation issues.

  • Experience handling freight claims, shipment tracking, delivery exceptions, and reverse logistics.

  • Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar logistics software.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including:

    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

    • Pivot Tables

    • Filtering and sorting large datasets

    • Basic reporting and data analysis

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a plus.
