This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer in Brazil.
In this role, you will lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and highly automated cloud infrastructures supporting global financial and insurance operations.
You will play a key role in building modern DevOps ecosystems across AWS and Azure, enabling high-performance delivery pipelines and resilient cloud-native architectures.
The position involves working with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and GitOps practices to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery at scale.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement best practices in automation, security, and system reliability across distributed environments.
This is a highly technical and strategic role where you will influence architecture decisions, cloud adoption strategies, and engineering standards.
You will also mentor teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping shape a strong DevOps and cloud engineering culture.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions across AWS and Azure environments.
- Lead infrastructure automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to ensure efficient deployment processes.
- Contribute to the design of serverless, Kubernetes-based, and event-driven architectures.
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Monitor, optimize, and improve performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation, code quality, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing across DevOps and cloud engineering topics.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and apply them to improve infrastructure and delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role with strong expertise in AWS (Azure is a plus).
- Solid background in DevOps practices and software development principles.
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure automation (IaC tools and frameworks).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and identity management systems.
- Experience working with distributed systems, scalability, and cloud networking.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with GitHub, version control practices, and Agile methodologies.
- Nice to have: experience with DynamoDB, Crossplane, multi-repo/monorepo strategies, and AWS DevOps certification.
- Strong architectural mindset with ability to apply best practices such as SOLID, DRY, and KISS.
- Ability to mentor teams and influence technical decisions in complex environments.
