Market Development Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Market Development Manager in United States.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead market expansion and strategic commercialization initiatives within the fast-evolving recycling and circular economy sector. In this role, you will drive the development of innovative offtake strategies across recyclables, organics, and advanced recovery solutions while helping transform waste streams into scalable value-generating opportunities. You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and commercial teams to identify new markets, structure strategic partnerships, and optimize revenue pathways. The position combines hands-on deal execution with long-term strategic planning in a highly innovative and mission-driven environment focused on sustainability and operational transformation. This role is ideal for a commercially minded leader who thrives in complex negotiations, market development, and infrastructure-driven industries. The position is fully remote within the United States with occasional travel to project sites and company locations.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute market development and offtake strategies across recyclables, residuals, organics, and emerging recovery technologies.
  • Identify, validate, and commercialize new market opportunities and partnerships that improve operational economics and long-term scalability.
  • Lead strategic negotiations and manage commercial agreements related to inbound feedstock supply, pricing, and customer contracts.
  • Oversee facility-level offtake execution, ensuring pricing, supply volumes, and margin performance align with operational and financial targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with processors, technology providers, converters, and stakeholders across the bioeconomy and materials sectors.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to evaluate technical feasibility and support new recovery pathways.
  • Develop standardized financial models, pricing frameworks, and risk assessments for evaluating market opportunities and contracts.
  • Support regional business development efforts by advising on market strategies, proposals, and policy positioning.
  • Partner with Marketing and Commercial teams to create market-facing collateral and communicate value propositions effectively.
  • Mentor and manage team members responsible for pricing, market analysis, contracting, and customer relationships.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in recycling, renewable fuels, organics processing, energy, advanced manufacturing, project finance, or similar industries involving complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong experience structuring, pricing, negotiating, and executing multi-stakeholder commercial deals and partnerships.
  • Proven ability to translate technical or operational concepts into compelling commercial value propositions.
  • Experience managing offtake strategies, supply agreements, or infrastructure-related commercial operations.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities with experience developing pricing structures and evaluating business risks.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, and commercial teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience with a focus on coaching and organizational scalability.
  • MBA required.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% for project, partner, and office visits.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $210,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for equity grants and stock option programs.
  • Comprehensive medical coverage with significant employer premium contributions.
  • Dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • HSA-eligible healthcare plans with monthly company contributions.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) policy.
  • Paid sick leave and company holidays.
  • Fully remote work flexibility within the United States.
  • Opportunity to work in a mission-driven organization focused on sustainability, AI innovation, and environmental impact.
  • Collaborative culture with opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
