Job Description
Cytotechnologist

Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m

Here's What You Need
• Associate degree in Cytology required
• Bachelor's degree in Cytology required AND
• Other completion of training from an approved school of Cytotechnology
• 1-3 years of Cytology experience highly preferred
• 1 year of hospital specialty preferred
• CT (ASCP) Cytotechnologist 6 months required OR
• CT (IAC) Cytotechnologist 6 months required OR
• SCT (ASCP) Specialist in Cytotechnology required
What You Will Do
• Specimen Processing
• Stain/Equipment maintenance
• Assists in obtaining fine needle aspiration biopsies and preparing and staining slides for rapid assessment by the pathologist.
• Maintains knowledge of computer software applications and uses computer applications competently as related to the specific task required for each assigned job responsibility.
