Job Description
Powder Coating Systems is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of handling the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.
Position Summary
The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, managing payroll, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the company's bookkeeping and accounting records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations.
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll and monitor payroll tax filings through Paylocity.
- Track expenses, budgets, and cash flow.
- Prepare and file sales tax and other required tax reports.
- Assist with year-end closing and provide documentation for accountants and auditors.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate is dependable, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of the company's bookkeeping function from transaction entry through financial reporting. They should be comfortable working independently while providing accurate, timely financial information to management.
Requirements:Required Qualifications
- MINIMUM REQUIRED: 5-10 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and the full accounting cycle.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online accounting software, and Paylocity employee pay management system.
- Experience and full understanding of processing payroll and manage payroll taxes through Paylocity.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask in a high activity environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- QuickBooks certification or similar accounting software certification.
- Experience in Steelhead job shop software used in manufacturing.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal tax reporting requirements.
- Human Resource experience.
- Clerical experience including answering phones, filing, and customer service.
