About the Role:

The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing plant equipment and facilities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery, including electrical systems and boilers. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of technicians and coordinates predictive and preventive maintenance programs to optimize plant performance. They collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with manufacturing goals and lean principles. Ultimately, this role ensures a safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance operation that supports overall plant productivity and compliance with industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and plant maintenance operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
  • Manage and lead the maintenance team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities for electrical systems, boilers, and other critical plant equipment to ensure operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering departments to integrate maintenance plans with manufacturing schedules and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Analyze maintenance data and key performance indicators to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Manage facility maintenance activities to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation, including work orders and equipment histories, are accurately maintained.

Physical Requirement

Must have the ability to frequently stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, sometimes with heavy loads. Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.

The Maintenance Manager utilizes maintenance management skills daily to plan and execute maintenance strategies that ensure equipment reliability and plant efficiency. Predictive and preventive maintenance expertise allows the manager to anticipate and prevent equipment failures, reducing costly downtime.
