This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, online trust, and community-driven innovation, supporting one of the world’s most widely used knowledge platforms. You will lead efforts to strengthen safety, security, and integrity across a complex, high-scale digital ecosystem used by billions of readers globally. The role involves shaping products that protect users while preserving openness and accessibility. You will work closely with engineers, designers, data scientists, and global volunteer communities. - Lead the identification and prioritization of the most critical safety, security, and integrity problems, ensuring product efforts focus on high-impact areas that protect users and communities.
- Drive the development of product solutions that mitigate abuse, misinformation, privacy risks, and malicious behavior across a large-scale knowledge platform.
- Coordinate a cross-functional team of engineering, design, data science, and community stakeholders to deliver iterative and measurable product improvements.
- Define and manage product roadmaps and feature prioritization using data insights, experimentation, and community feedback loops.
- Engage actively with global volunteer communities to gather input, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with real-world needs and expectations.
- Guide continuous improvement of safety systems by staying current on emerging technologies in AI, online security, and privacy.
- 5+ years of experience in product development for consumer-facing or internet-scale platforms, ideally in agile environments.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable product impact, regardless of formal Product Manager title.
- Strong ability to analyze data, interpret insights, and translate findings into actionable product decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, leadership, and external communities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in complex, fast-moving, and stakeholder-rich environments.
- Experience working with online communities, user trust/safety products, or open collaboration ecosystems is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with online safety, privacy, or security concepts, and a strong interest in evolving digital trust systems.
