The City of Minot is accepting applications for the entry level position of Bus Driver in Transit Department, with an application deadline of Friday, July 3rd 2026.
Nature of Work
This is semi-skilled work operating passenger buses of various sizes to provide safe and efficient transportation services to citizens. Work is performed under the continuing supervision of the Transit Operations Foreman.. Please read the attached job description for complete details.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and some experience in bus or similar vehicle operation; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Possession of or ability to possess a North Dakota class “B” commercial driver's license with passenger and air brake endorsements. The North Dakota CDL license is desired but not required to apply for this position.
Compensation
- Salary is established under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan, Grade 50:
$43,593 – $64,713 annually ($20.96 – $31.11/hour) - This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position eligible for overtime

Veterans’ Preference
