Senior Lead Commercial Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Lead Commercial Strategy based in the United States.

This role sits at the core of commercial execution and strategic planning, shaping how go-to-market priorities are translated into actionable, company-wide plans. It focuses on aligning sales, marketing, product, and operations around a unified commercial roadmap that drives measurable business impact. The position plays a critical role in ensuring annual planning cycles are not only well-designed but effectively executed across all segments and customer-facing teams. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, enabling field teams with the tools, clarity, and structure needed to perform at scale. The environment is highly cross-functional, data-driven, and fast-moving, requiring strong ownership and executive-level influence. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in turning strategy into operational reality.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead annual commercial planning by translating enterprise priorities and go-to-market strategies into structured execution plans, investment priorities, and aligned roadmaps across sales segments and motions.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination between Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Analytics to ensure alignment on priorities, readiness, and execution frameworks.
  • Design and implement initiatives that improve productivity and effectiveness of customer-facing teams, enabling stronger performance and scalable execution.
  • Activate and operationalize field-facing launches, ensuring sellers are fully enabled and prepared from day one of execution.
  • Identify successful pilots and early wins, scaling them into standardized, repeatable commercial processes across teams and segments.
  • Establish performance tracking and feedback loops, analyzing outcomes, running post-launch reviews, and continuously improving execution models.
  • Transition strategic initiatives and programs into business-as-usual operations, ensuring long-term adoption and sustainability.
Requirements

This role requires a seasoned commercial strategy professional with deep experience in planning cycles, go-to-market execution, and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong operational discipline and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 9+ years of experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, in commercial strategy, operations, or go-to-market roles.
  • Proven experience leading annual planning cycles, including translating business priorities into structured execution roadmaps and investment decisions.
  • Strong background in cross-functional commercial initiatives spanning Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, enablement frameworks, and commercial operating models.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale programs beyond strategy into execution and sustained operational impact.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into actionable commercial decisions.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance detail orientation and strategic perspective.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with location-based compensation ranges
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance and voluntary lifestyle benefit options
  • Short-term and long-term incentive programs, including bonus eligibility
  • Retirement and financial wellbeing programs
  • Flexible remote work environment
  • Paid time off and holiday benefits
  • Learning and development opportunities in a high-impact, innovation-driven environment.
