Senior Consultant - Healthcare HR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Consultant – Healthcare HR based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of healthcare, human resources strategy, and organizational performance, focusing on helping clients optimize how they manage their workforce and HR operations.
You will act as a trusted advisor to healthcare organizations, delivering data-driven insights that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen HR effectiveness.
The position involves leading complex consulting engagements, from analysis through execution, while directly influencing executive-level decision-making.
You will work closely with HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to redesign processes, improve vendor strategies, and enhance workforce outcomes.
The role is highly analytical and client-facing, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead HR consulting engagements focused on workforce optimization, cost containment, and operational efficiency within healthcare organizations.
  • Analyze HR spend, vendor contracts, and workforce processes to identify savings opportunities through consolidation, renegotiation, and performance improvements.
  • Manage and renegotiate HR-related vendor agreements, including benefits, recruiting, learning and development, and outsourced services.
  • Partner with HR executives and leadership teams to design and implement strategic workforce and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Deliver insights, presentations, and recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and expectations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across HR domains such as employee relations, compensation, talent management, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Support development of HR programs, tools, and methodologies that improve organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Contribute to the creation of intellectual capital, frameworks, and best practices to enhance consulting offerings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally within healthcare, hospital systems, or consulting environments.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are preferred.
  • Strong experience advising leaders on HR initiatives including compensation, workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Proven ability to manage complex consulting projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using HRIS systems and workforce analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging with senior leadership.
  • Understanding of employee benefits administration, vendor management, and HR compliance frameworks.
  • Healthcare consulting experience is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to support client needs.
