Marketing Specialist-External Communications

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for implementation of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations plans using recognized project management standards.
• Manages multiple projects to desired completion within designated time frames.
  • Continuously assesses and improves the performance of services provided; maintains quality control programs as appropriate.
• Responsible for overseeing communications, publications, internal communications, media, and community relations.
  • Directs planning and production, proofreading, and approval of communication materials, (publications, brochures, audiovisuals, etc.) as required to meet specific public relations goals.
  • In conjunction with System Director, directs, develops and implements market communications strategies and placement, including advertising, publicity, etc.
  • Prepares and presents speeches to various audiences as needed.
  • Maintains solid and beneficial relationships with the news media via proactive and reactive communication.
• Assists System Director in maintaining or providing the maintenance of necessary reports, records, or statistics for the support of departmental objectives. Prepares routine operational and special reports as required.
• Fulfills other designated functions and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• College degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field other degrees will be considered.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Healthcare marketing communications desirable.
• Knowledge of business math preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Savvy communication skills with internal teams, clients and outside partners/vendors
• Reliable, professional, assertive, extremely organized with keen attention to detail
