Reports To: Installation Supervisor

The Fiber Installation Technician is responsible for installing fiber-optic internet services directly at customer locations. This role involves setting up rooftop and in-home equipment, running cables, and ensuring seamless connectivity. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install fiber-optic internet services at residential and commercial customer sites

- Set up and configure rooftop and in-home networking equipment

- Run and secure fiber-optic cables in various environments

- Test and verify connectivity to ensure optimal performance

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation

- Educate customers on their new service and equipment operation

- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service reports

- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards during all tasks

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in fiber-optic or telecommunications installation preferred

- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work outdoors and in confined spaces

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights when necessary

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
