Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administers medications and treatments according to physician orders and department policy.
- Monitors patient condition and communicates changes to providers and the care team.
- Educates patients and families on plans of care and discharge needs.
- Documents care accurately and on time in the electronic health record.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Registered Nurse: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Active RN license in IN. Current BLS required. Additional certifications (such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC) and experience requirements vary by unit.
