IT Help Desk Associate

The Opportunity
This is the seat that keeps every employee at HCo up and running. As part of the IT Help Desk, you're the first line of support company-wide, resolving hardware, software, and network issues quickly so people can get back to work. The role supports desktops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, network connectivity, and user accounts, and helps troubleshoot both standard IT issues and production-related technology systems. This role demands patience, clear communication, and sharp troubleshooting instincts.

What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day technical support for Windows desktops and laptops.
- Support mobile devices and shop-floor computers.
- Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, phones, & barcode scanners.
- Manage user accounts and group memberships in Active Directory.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding.
- Troubleshoot network and application issues impacting production.
- Support conference room and A/V systems.
- Assist with Windows servers and virtual machines.
- Maintain documentation for issues, fixes, and procedures.

- Internal manufacturing web applications
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of IT support or help desk experience.
- Strong Windows desktop support skills.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Clear, patient communication — comfortable explaining technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tickets at once.
- Ability to work in both office and production environments.
Essential Functions — Physical & On-Site Requirements
This is a primarily desk-based role. The following are fundamental to performing the job — not general fitness standards. If you have questions about your ability to meet any of these, reach out; we're glad to talk it through.
- Sit for long periods of time while working at a computer.
- Occasionally move throughout the facility to assist employees at their workstations.
- Lift and carry IT equipment (laptops, monitors, peripherals) up to 50-85 lbs as needed.
- Install, inspect, and maintain network cabling, wireless access points, cameras, and other equipment in elevated locations, using ladders or approved access equipment as needed and following company safety procedures.
- Be physically present on-site for all scheduled shifts — this work cannot be performed remotely.
- Willingness to travel to our second location when needed, up to 6 miles round trip.
Nice to Have
- Manufacturing or production environment experience.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Exposure to Hyper-V or virtualization platforms.
- Basic PowerShell and Batch File scripting experience.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $52,000–$68,000 annually, based on experience. Monday–Friday schedule. Full benefits package: medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance and short-term disability; 401(k) with company match; Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution; and paid vacation and holidays.
