Position Summary
-
The Unit Clerk/Monitor Technician transcribes and posts Physicians orders; maintains Medication Administration Records; transcribes appropriate information on patient's graphic record; assists in maintaining PAR Levels of supplies for the Nursing Unit; maintains an organized work environment; facilitates communication between staff, families, and/or visitors. Monitors, interprets and records EKG strips. Staff may receive, secure and transport medications as necessary.

1 Year Unit Clerk or Customer Service - Preferred

Core Job Functions
- Assists in procedures/ exams as directed. Obtains necessary supplies, equipment, and/ or personnel as needed. Communicates data by timely documentation and reporting of abnormal or patient status change to RN/LPN.
- Utilize interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills when necessary.
- Participates in the training and orientation process for new staff as appropriate. Demonstrates initiative and flexibility. Participates in process improvement initiatives.
