Job Description

Essential Functions

· Create, update, and maintain BOMs in ERP accurately.

· Take the initiative in updating/fixing BOMs based on ECN or by any requests raised.

· Create, maintain, and update Manufacturing Drawings accurately following the Company’s instructions applying GD&T.

· Create, update, and maintain instructions for ERP BOM setups, Manufacturing Drawings, or any manufacturing engineering standardization under the direction of Operations Process Manager.

· Perform time studies on products by machines/operations and assist in setting standard cycle times.

· Evaluate current manufacturing procedures and suggest effective ways to eliminate wastefulness in manufacturing processes.

Manufacturing Production Support

· Create nesting and machine programming.

· Troubleshoot production issues promptly and support in implementing any solutions through redesign, research, and so forth.

· Investigate any possible issues which may cause delays in production and share findings with stakeholders.

· Take the initiative in searching for new tooling to improve any current manufacturing process and implement the tooling.

· Assist in preparing estimates, specifications and reports.

ECN

· Conduct ECN procedures including obsoletions and supersessions as requested by Operations Process Manager.

· Make sure the accuracy of adjustments in designs, cut profiles, machine programs, ERP setups.

Required Skills and Abilities

· Working knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office suite.

· Proficient with computer-aided design software programs such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD.

· Experience in nesting and machine programming software such as SigmaNEST, AMADA, Tru Tops, Bysoft 7, or Prima is considered an asset.

· Proactive in asking questions.

· Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

· Strong and effective communication skills; both verbal and written.

Preferred Education and Experience

· Post-secondary education in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline is considered an asset.

· More than 3 years of work experience in the Manufacturing field.

· Experience in ISO or IATF environments is considered an asset.

· Experience with ERP system preferred.
