SUMMARY | ||
The Veterinary Technician’s primary role is to support and assist the doctors of the hospital. The Veterinary Technician will begin the physical examination and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis and treatment phases of the patient’s visit. Vet Techs will also interact closely with client’s, communicating general information, home care and other information in regards to the patient’s care. | ||

Veterinary Technician licensure(CVT) or ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire | ||

COMPUTER SKILLS | ||
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of; MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word; MS PowerPoint Word Processing software. Previous experience with veterinary practice software is a plus. | ||

This job operates in a professional animal hospital/clinic. This role may have exposure to electromagnetic radiation, anesthetic gases, unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. |
