About This Position

This is a hybrid position with expected travel throughout the state.

POSITION SUMMARY

Program Manager (PM) designs, maintains, and oversees various programs across Arizona based on funder and contract requirements. A PM will supervise Program Supervisors and has general oversight of staff, ensure fidelity to program standards of practice, ensure fidelity to the curriculum, and engage in monthly financial reviews and planning. The PM assists supervisors for on-the-job training to assist with developing their ability to assess and customize curriculum, and work independently with families. PM’s attends quarterly outreach events, build program-wide group connections, attend individual networking events, participate in assigned committees/alliances and coordinate comprehensive services with key partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Social Services, Early Childhood, or related field (i.e. Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Family and Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) with five (5) years of related experience working with culturally diverse populations including pregnant persons and children age 0-5 years. Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing staff and programs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have access to safe, reliable transportation with valid automobile insurance.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance card.
  • Maintain their Parents as Teachers certification throughout employment as a funder requirement.
  • Complete CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire and maintain the certifications throughout employment.
  • Minimum of 20 hours per Fiscal Year of continuing education and competency building, including but not limited, to Relias Learning, Conference, Workshops, and/or Outside Training.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and/or experience with infant & child development, parent-child attachment, possible behavioral health dynamics of caregivers, as well as the dynamics of child abuse & neglect.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience with strength-based and family-centered provision of primary prevention services.
  • Ability to identify individual/family strengths and planning/advocating around individual/family goals.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience with community resources as well as how to navigate/access these resources for families (some examples of services include Social Service Agencies, Provider Systems such asbehavioral health, and division of developmental disabilities.)
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills (e.g., nonjudgmental, objective, reflective, empathic, patient, tactful).
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to promote clear understanding.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently, cohesively within team dynamics, and under direct supervision to effectively meet program requirements/objectives.
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, keep appropriate records, and develop effective programmatic communications with supervisory guidance.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience in cultural diversity, substance abuse, sexual abuse, family violence thatmay have an impact of child abuse and neglect on child development, preferred.
  • Demonstrate interest and ability to advocate with and on behalf of low-income, diverse families, preferred.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly desirable (will consider other languages)
