The Senior Material Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the materials management process ensuring timely delivery of necessary components to production lines by managing inventory levels and resolving any material related issues that are complex in a manufacturing/engineering environment. Key functions are, including:
- Check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
- Performs inventory control activities, including cycle count, data entry, report generation and reconciliation
- Analyzes and investigates transaction history data to identify potential shortages or excess stock and takes corrective action
- Performs Receiving functions and transactions
- Interfaces with Buyers, Planners, Production, and Scheduling to process material transactions, movements, audits, and tracking; and to fulfill customer demand
- Proficient understanding of BOM's and WIP Processing
- Examines, modifies, or manages manufacturing work orders for correct set up, and prepares them for builds
- May prepare kitting packages for assembly production
- Secondary responsibilities may include any and all material handling duties
- Proven experience in materials management and inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- High School Diploma
- Physical requirements include standing for long periods, sitting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs
