Tech - OR Surgical Scrub Tech at SURGERY CENTER JV – Huntsville, Alabama

NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS

• Under the direct supervision of licensed nurses accurately transcribes physician’s orders, placing orders to other departments by the correct method and in a timely manner
• Courteously answers patient calls giving the patient reassurance and immediately notifying nursing personnel of patient’s needs
• Initiates, assembles, and maintains charts from admission to discharge. Following discharge, prepares the chart for transport to health information management.
• Knowledgeable of and performs computer applications as appropriate to clerical responsibilities
• Maintain appropriate inventories of forms and supplies
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Perform first scrub role in the Delivery OR
• Stock department and OR after procedures

Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
