Dock Worker at ENSTRUCTURE LLC – Winona, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY

This position reports to the Dock Supervisor or Terminal Manager. The duties will primarily revolve around loading and unloading cargo from trucks, barges, and rail, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring safe and efficient operations at the terminal. Successful candidates should have physical stamina, excellent organizational skills, and a strong focus on safety regulations. Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Load and unload goods from trucks, ships or rail.

• Use loaders, skid steers, and other necessary equipment to transport heavy items
• Maintain accurate records of received and dispatched goods
• Inspect cargo for damage
• Ensure the safe operation of machinery and equipment
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Securing cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers
• Recording cargo information such as weight, charges, and damages
• Communicating with supervisors and team members to coordinate loading and unloading operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Basic math and recording abilities
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation required.
• Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk; and reach with hands and arms as well as frequent lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items. The employee is frequently required to walk with alternate standing. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be working in an outdoor environment in the elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position is based in Winona, MN; however, we do have 2 other terminals (Red Wing, MN and Savage, MN) that an employee may be asked to work at the other locations for a day.
